Borneo, a land dominated by white water rapids, mountain forests, wild fauna and river towns. Since ancient times, this fertile region has been a focal point for human activity. Its splendid past is still alive today in the great Borobudur and the myriad other examples of sacred art. Yogyakarta, with its fertile rice fields of bright green that cover the southern slopes of Gunung Merapi.

Celebes Island which is characterized by a very particular, has an impressive variety of animal species, with two ethnic groups living cultural interest there; the first powerful Bugis sailors, with its interesting history and Toraja, people upland, with its complex funeral rites. Komodo, the main attraction of this inhospitable island is its famous inhabitant, the largest lizard in the world, the Komodo dragon, which looks like a survivor of the Jurassic. Lombok, the island closest to eastern Bali for its quiet and cozy. The land of the "gamelan
singers" and pottery.

Welcome to the largest archipelago in the world. You are arriving in its capital today and transit overnight. Airport transfers will be arranging by the hotel.

Day 2

JAKARTA – PANGKALAN BUN - KUMAI


After Breakfast and Check out hotel, catch your Borneo flight. Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up by your guide and drive to Kumai for 20 minutes board on the boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 12m by 2.5m with roof upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by.

The guide's team includes the boatman, borneoorangutantour.com a cook and expert guide. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the klotok while observe the wildlife such as long noses monkey, long tail macaque, birds along the riverside. Dinner on the boat, overnight on the boat. simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net, kitchen, simple toilet available on boat besides the familiar - helpful guides and boatmen.

Day 3

PONDOK TANGGUY – CAMP LEAKEY - BOAT


After breakfast board the klotok cruise up the rivertor Pondok Tanguy, the third rehabilitation center for orangutans, witness feeding time at 09.00am, then continuing boating a side creek through tea colored water where you will see the magnificent reflection from the vegetation along the river, when lucky with us, the fresh water crocodile and other wildlife attraction could find a long river bank.

Depart at Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest and also known as research center for Orangutan. Short Trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife as well as tropical jungle plant. Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Dinner on the boat, overnight on the boat.

Day 4

KUMAI - PANGKALAN BUN – SEMARANG - YOGYAKARTA


Free morning program until time transfer to Kumai then to Pangkalan Bun airport for next destination, Semarang. Arrived in Semarang you’ll go directly to Jogjakarta to then check in to your hotel and stay overnight. Jogjakarta is famous for its culinary, culture and off courses its unique landscape. It has one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mount Merapi, has a beautiful black Sandy beaches, caves, Highland, and off course the Javanese Kingdom of Keraton who is still led by a 10th generation Sultan.

It also houses 2 of UNESCO’s world heritage sites, the Hindu temple of Prambanan (3 centuries older than Cambodian Angkor Wat and believed as the center of the universe - mother temple - by the Javanese Hindu during the 9th Century Sanjayan Dynasty) and also the famous Buddha’s Pyramid shaped Temple famously known as The Borobudur. (The single most visited tourist attraction in South East Asia).

Day 5

DIENG TOUR - BOROBUDUR TOUR


After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Dieng Wonosobo through Mt. Sindoro – Mt. Sumbing valley with view tobacco and tea plantation. Arrive at Dieng, visit Sikidang crater, Warna Lake and visit Java’s oldest Hindu temple dating from 9th century. Back to Jogjakarta with visit Borobudur temple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6

YOGYAKARTA TOUR – PRAMBANAN TOUR


Breakfast at hotel, City tour with visit Sultan Palace, Watercastle and bird market, continued to the most beautiful Hindu shrine – the 9th century (3 Centuries older than the Ankor Wat) Prambanan temple. Back to hotel.

Day 7

YOGYAKARTA – MAKASSAR


After breakfast today check out from your hotel then catch your flight to Makassar. Check in to your hotel and stay overnight.

Day 8

MAKASSAR - RANTEPAO



Breakfast will be served at the hotel then off to Bali Airport to catch your flight to Sulawesi. Arrival to Makassar, capital of Sulawesi Island. This noisy city, with around two millions of inhabitants in the trade center, it’s the entrance door to all the islands of East Indonesia. Then, we will go by car to the land of the Toraja.

During this 7-8 hours journey through the “transulawesi” road, we will visit the traditional villages of the Bugis, who live in all the South of the Island. They are known by their ability to build “Phinisi” boats and by their houses set on stilt. In the last stretch, the road gets into the mountains of Sulawesi to leads us to Tana Toraja, one of the most beautiful regions of the whole archipelago. At getting Rantepao, capital of Toraja, we will go directly to our hotel to sleep.

9-10


TORAJA TOUR


During these days we will visit Tana Toraja Region. Toraja Region is not only privileged for its wonderful landscape, but for its active and unique local culture. Even though nowadays its religion is mostly Christian, the animism religion is still alive. They still live according to their original animism religion called Aluk Todolo.

We will visit its traditional villages and we will be able to appreciate the curious hulled ship shape of the Toraja traditional houses, called Tongkonan, the stone graves and the Tau-Tau (wood effigies representing the deceased), high up a rock. We will also visit its colorful markets, as the Toraja make their transactions and shopping every day.

If during the stay we have the opportunity to see a ceremony, the family will invite is to assist and we will see what a fascinating ritual Toraja funeral is.

Day 11


BATUTUMONGA – RANTEPAO

After breakfast we will visit the old megaliths in Bori Village, and also the traditional village of Palawa with lots of Tongkonan and Alangs alined from north to South. After we will heading to Batutumonga where we will see the spectacular Panorama of Toraja Valley. Lunch time. After Lunch we will easy walk down for 2hours to Tikala Village. During this walk we’ll see the beautiful Toraja rice terraces, and traditional houses. In Tikala our driver will take us to Rantepao. Overnight in our Hotel.

Day 12

RANTEPAO – MAKASSAR - DENPASAR


After breakfast today you will go to Makassar to catch your flight to Denpasar. Arrived in Bali, transfer to your hotel and transit over night to get some rest for your Komodo adventure tomorrow.

 Day 13 


DENPASAR – LABUAN BAJO – BIDADARI ISLAND - LABUHAN BAJO


Fly to Labuan Bajo after breakfast to see the only dragon left in the world, Komodo. Arrival at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo west Flores, meeting service with our representative, and transfer to your Hotel, check in at the hotel, after lunch transferring to the harbor to take boat trip to Bidadari island for snorkeling, relaxing or swimming, it just take 30 minutes from Labuan Bajo. Afternoon late sail back to the GOLO HILL TOP to have dinner and overnight.

Day 14

LABUAN BAJO – RINCA ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND


Morning after breakfast at your hotel transfer to the pier of Labuan bajo to visit the island of Komodo Dragons Rinca, after 2 1/2 hours sailing start your trekking walking through the typical dry forest to explore the Island of Komodo dragon, you will find not just the Dragons but also many wild animals like, deer, wild buffalo, long-tailed macaque and wild pig also numerous of birds. Keep your eyes look up as sometime you will find the young Komodo dragons on the trees. Return to boat and proceed to Kalong Island in Komodo Island to see the fling foxes set out from the mangrove tree at 06 - 07 pm .Lunch, Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 15


KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH – MANTA POINT - LABUAN BAJO


Early morning start your trekking on Komodo ,walking through the typical dry forest to explore the Island of Komodo dragon, you will find many wild animals like, deers and wild pigs and also numerous of birds such as lesser-sulphur-crested-cockatoo, collared kingfisher, etc. A local ranger will lead you through this natural preservation, Return to boat and proceed to Pink beach for swimming and snorkeling in unspoilt coral reef among colorful tropical fish. Sail toward MANTA POINT to exploring Huge Mantas by snorkeling even watching from your boat trip. But we do not guarantee these objects, depending on the weather good or not. lunch on board and afternoon back To Labuan Bajo. Overnight at New GOLO HILL TOP or Similar.

LABUAN BAJO – MATARAM


After breakfast short visit to Batu Cermin, or glass cave. After that go to the airport to catch your Mataram flight via Denpasar. Arrived in Lombok, meet and greet with our representative to take you to your hotel and stay overnight.
